WEEK 12 (7/8 - 13/8 2022)

 Assalamualaikum and hello there!

This whole one week is a revision week for all students as they are having their Semester 1 examination in a week time. Teachers are putting their best effort in order to gather everything at once and optimize the lesson this week so that the students are much more confident to answer exam questions. I believe that every teacher has their own strategy for their students. As for me, I always ask the students to have a checklist of Learning Standards or subtopic from the chapters that they have learned so that they stay more organized and assuring them to not to skip any importance content in the process.

Moreover, I always guide the students to have a mind map or notes instead of only has revision from the textbook. This is because it can save up their time in revision process and can memorize the content faster and better. I can see that most of the students don’t have the notes as they are lazy to make one. So I always motivate them to make one in order to use is until SPM exam.

However, I am still lack of skills in teaching students the technique in answering exam question even though I have the understanding in the content. Sometimes I don’t even know where the marks are credited for some specific questions. To solve this problem, I always write answer schemes for the set of questions or handout that are given to the students and ask my mentor to mark my answers. This will eventually improve my knowledge and gain my confidence in teaching the students back especially in essay questions.
