WEEK 6 (19/6 - 25/6 2022)

Assalamualaikum and hello!

On Sunday, it was our event holiday as we had our annual Kejora (Kejohanan Olah Raga) on last weekend. So I just spend the day at home to rest as I worked the whole day for the event.

Normal classes started as usual on Monday. So we are having our  Standardised test next week, so most of the classes are having their revision session.

For Form 4 students, they are always having difficulties in memorising chemical formulas. So I asked them to queuing outside of the class and write a correct chemical formula on the whiteboard one by one person. If they got it wrong, they need to queue back until they got a correct chemical formula. Through this, I think it is such an effective method to get them memorise the formula as they are intimidated by their friends and realised the importance of memorising the formulas correctly.

Meanwhile, Form 1 students had their KAS classes as usual. This week, we are using burette and pipette for them to practice on how to handle these apparatus. Unfortunately, one out of 6 classes had broke one pipette throughout the lesson as they were too excited and dropped it onto the floor. Somehow, every single time student broke a lab apparatus, it made me feels that I'm the one whose to be blamed because I wasn’t strict enough with them. I should have more cautious with their behaviour and always remind those lab rules and safety. On top of that, I’m not sure if I’m the type of that person who cannot scold others or the personality brought from a new teacher who is not fierce enough with these kids. Only time can tell.
