WEEK 1 (8/5 - 14/5 2022) FIRST WEEK OF PRACTICUM :)

 Assalamualaikum and hello!

    Here’s the very first post about my practicum journey. I’m not that sure how to start off this, but I need to go through it anyway, so let’s just be confident! I did some reading from previous student’s portfolio and her blog in order to gather all of the information that I’m doing things right for the first time. The main thing to do is that I need to set up a proper daily lesson plan(DLP) for myself and future uses as well. 

    I think I had simplified my own DLP in order to use it more easily. My strength here is that I like to explore whatever I’m curious about especially the features of the applications that I’m using it everyday. Therefore, I used Developer tab in Microsoft Word for Dropdown and Tick Box features so that it could save time in producing new Daily Lesson Plans for my students. I could choose Time, Class, Venue, 21st Century Learning Options, etc without typing it. 

On top of that, I also shared my DLP with my other colleagues as they were interested on it. However, I do think that it still needs some improvement over time. 

    Moreover, this is my first year teaching Form 5 and Form 1 students as previously I only taught Form 2, 3 and 4 students. So I think it’s very challenging for me to spare some time in order to create new lesson plans for each classes. But oh well, everything will not be perfect for the first time. Just take one step at a time, and I believe that I’ll be there one day :)
