WEEK 7 (26/6 - 2/7 2022) STANDARDISED TEST WEEK

 Assalamualaikum and hi!

Students are having their Second Standardised Test for this Semester 1 and all the test questions were prepared by the Subject Coordinator. As for me, I need to prepare a part of Form 1 Science question and Chemistry Form 4 questions. As we don’t have the Jadual Spesifikasi Ujian (JSU) from the HQ for this test, it is quite challenging in the selection of the questions so that it fits the students’ ability and knowledge. So I ask the senior teachers on how to create a proper set of questions for the test and ask for examples. Moreover, Form 1 students are always complained that they are not familiar with the Science terms in English as they learned in Malay when they were in primary school. It is quite challenging because they make the language as a barrier for them in learning Science. So I really need to change their perceptions on it and persuade them to keep learning Science in English as it is such an advantage for them whenever they are in higher institutions. 

In a nutshell, I have been selected as the secretary for the MQS Audit in one Element 2, Component 1 which is Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan and also the biggest component out of others. It is such a challenging position as I need to deal with other people in order to complete the whole Component. The Audit process is always troublesome as we need to make it as perfect as we can. Through this Component, it made me realize that being a teacher is not about teaching only, I need to be more conscious with the surrounding of the buildings in order to make sure that this is a safe place for the students and everyone in the school.
